It's alright everybody, James Cosmo can officially stop holding back now as his fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemates have granted the acting icon with eternal immunity from nominations, which basically means he's untouchable and can piss off absolutely everyone without the fear of being up for eviction from here on out.

Following tonight's live eviction (January 20), which saw Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry become the fifth housemate to be evicted from the show, Big Brother gathered the remaining housemates and gave them a short time to decide on who they wanted to grant eternal immunity to and why.

James C received the most votes from his housemates, with Calum Best, Coleen Nolan, Jamie O'Hara and Stacy Francis all opting for the star.

And, as promised by Bit on the Side host Rylan Clark-Neal, such a gift always comes with a twist, and tonight's one came as Big Brother asked James C to quickly choose another housemate to receive eternal nominations.

So he chose Speidi, which means they can also pretty much say and do whatever they want to piss off all the housemates in whatever way possible because, hey, they're going to be nominated anyway.

Although, in all fairness, is that really any different to how they usually act?

Still, at least they reacted a lot better than Stephen Bear did when faced with the same curse last year - in the live clips shown tonight, at least. Tomorrow's highlights show could reveal a whole different story.

Celebrity Big Brother continues on Channel 5 tomorrow night (January 21) at 10:30pm.

Don't forget to vote for your favourite TV shows in this year's National Television Awards! Shortlist voting closes at 12 midday on Wednesday, January 25.
