CCTV appeal after man seen trying car doors on housing estate and latest crime round-up

A CCTV appeal has been launched this week following reports being made to police of someone trying car doors handles. Other incidents which have been logged include multiple burglaries at homes in the county as well as other incidents of car break-ins.

Details of some crimes which have happened in the county can be found on the Your Community Alerts website. There you can find the date and location of where an incident happened and the crime reference number.

Paganhill estate, Stroud: We're appealing for information following a report of a person trying car doors in the Paganhill Estate area of Stroud at approx 10pm on January 9 2025. Elmvil Road, Tewkesbury: There has been a van entry in Elmvil Road, Tewkesbury on January 15. The van was parked on a driveway and the suspect/s have entered the vehicle, causing no damage. Pennsylvania Avenue, Cheltenham: A car has been entered by unknown means and a messy search has taken place and items stolen. Items are a Hilka socket set, a Stanley screwdriver set, cased set of Allen keys, an organiser set full of screws, a Swiss Army knife and a pair of Carrera prescription sunglasses. This happened in Pennsylvania Avenue, Cheltenham between 6pm on January 15, 2025 and 9am on January 16, 2025. Incident 154 of January 16, 2025.

Montpellier Spa Road, Cheltenham: A car has been entered by unknown means, possibly unlocked and offender(s) have stolen a Burbery handbag containing bank cards, and ID documents, a Rolex watch and Rayban sunglasses. This happened in Montpellier Spa Road, Cheltenham between 5pm on January 15, 2025 and 1am on January 16, 2025 incident 118 of January 16, 2025.

Elmvil Road, Tewkesbury: Offender(s) have gained access to a vehicle and stolen tools. Items taken include Hille E demolition breaker, laser level, radio, 8x batteries and chargers with CR written on, impact driver and a Makita hammer drill. This happened in Elmvil Road, Tewkesbury between 7pm and 6.55am on January 16, 2025. Incident 117 of January 16, 2025.

Hesters Way, Cheltenham: Unknown offender(s) have attempted to gain entry to a property by trying the door handle. No entry was gained, this has happened in several properties in the area. This happened in the Hesters Way area of Cheltenham. Overnight of January 15 and 16. Incidents 060, 020, 008 of January 16, 2025.

Church Street, Cirencester: A burglary was reported at Church Street in Cirencester. A handbag containing cash was stolen from the kitchen. This occurred between 12pm on January 15 and 8am of January 16 . Anyone with any information please quote Incident number 128 of January 16, 2025- Please ensure doors are kept locked when you are at home. Unlocked doors give easy access to opportunist burglars.

Pittville Mews, Cheltenham: Unknown offender(s) have entered a property after climbing over a rear wall. Access was gained to a property that is currently having works done on it and tools stolen including a Dewalt impact screw driver, 2x Dewalt chargers, Bose Bluetooth speaker and a 110v transformer. This happened in Pittville Mews, Cheltenham between 7.15pm and 8.15pm on 15/01/2025. Incident 388 of January 15, 2025.

Montpellier, Gloucester: A Range Rover was entered in Montpellier Gloucester and a laptop computer was stolen. This occurred between 10.30am and 9pm on January 14. Sycamore Close, Gloucester: The two from front lights was reported stolen from a Seat Leon car in Sycamore Close Gloucester. This occurred between 10am and 10.22pm on January 14. Anyone with any information please quote Incident number 120 of January 15, 2025.

Albert Road, Cheltenham: Unknown offender(s) have gained access to a shed by cutting the padlock, the offender(s) have then cut the locks from a push bike. The stolen bike is a Felt Nine 50 Deore XT, stainless steel blue in colour. A box of tools were also stolen. This happened in Albert Road, Cheltenham at approximately 2.05am on January 13, 2025. Andoversford, Cotswolds: A Land Rover Defender was reported stolen from Andoversford. This is believed to have occurred at 3.40am on January 4. Anyone with any information please quote Incident number 91 of January 13, 2025.

Chesterton Lane in Cirencester: A car was entered and cash was stolen whilst it was parked in Chesterton Lane in Cirencester. This is believed to have occurred at 4.50pm on January 13. The suspect is described as a man in his late 20s with a shaved head and riding a bicycle. Moreton Road, Longbourgh, Moreton-in-Marsh: A burglary was reported into a storage container at Moreton Road Longbourgh near Moreton-in-Marsh. This is believed to have occurred overnight from December 21 and January 12. A stihl chain saw, a generator, a jet wash and other equipment was stolen.
