CCTV appeal over RumRum nightclub attack

Police are looking for five men after an attack at a city nightclub. The 24-year-old victim was punched in the face at RumRum Club in The Arcadian Centre, off Hurst Street, between 1am and 2am on Saturday, April 27.

He was attacked again in Hurst Street. West Midlands Police issued CCTV images of five men officers would like to speak to in connection with the attack.

Three were white and two were black. The first was white and had fair hair and a beard, wearing a white top. The second was black with a bald head and a beard and wore a black top.

The third was white and clean-shaven with short dark brown hair, shaved at the sides. The fourth was black with shoulder-length dreadlocks, wearing a black jacket. And the fifth was white, with light brown hair and a beard, and light-coloured jacket.

West Midlands Police said: “We're trying to identify this group after a man was attacked in Birmingham city centre. We suspect them of being involved in an attack on a 24-year-old man inside RumRum Club in the Arcadian and again on Hurst Street.

“It happened between 1am and 2am on Saturday, April 27 when the man was punched in the face. We are keen to hear from anyone who has information which could assist our investigation.
