CCTV appeal after woman 'sexually assaulted' on morning rush-hour train from Hull

A woman is alleged to have been sexually assaulted on a morning rush-hour train from Hull.

British Transport Police (BTP) have released a CCTV image as they investigate the incident which took place between 8.20am and 9.20am on Thursday, August 22.

It's reported that, between those times, a man boarded a train at Hull that was heading to Doncaster and sat next to a woman who "he then sexually assaulted". The man then left the service at Doncaster with a woman who he had boarded the train with.

A BTP spokesperson added: "Officers believe the man in the image may have information which could help with their investigation.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 148 of 22 August.

"Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
