CCTV captures moment man attacked by gang of youths in Coventry

CCTV has captured the shocking moment a man is attacked by a group of youths in Coventry. It happened on Lower Precinct.

Police said the group followed the man before forcing him off his bike and assaulting him next to Waterstones. It happened at around 10pm on July 23 this year, Coventry Police said.

Thankfully, the injuries sustained by the victim were not life-threatening. Officers are continuing to investigate the incident and have urged people who saw what happened to get in touch with them by calling 101.

A spokesman for Coventry Police said: “Did you witness an assault in Coventry earlier this year? We are investigating after a group assaulted a man on Lower Precinct.

“It is believed the group followed the man before forcing him off his bike and assaulting him shortly after 10pm on Tuesday, July 23. Fortunately, his injuries were not life-threatening.
