CCTV captures ‘proud’ man who defecated outside a taxi office then walked off smiling

Police released CCTV footage in an effort to track down a man who defecated outside a taxi office.

Sussex Police wanted to find the man - described as a “poorly-mannered individual” - who did a poo outside the office in Lewes in the early hours of Sunday, April 7.

The man was captured on CCTV pulling down his trousers and defecating opposite Lewes train station at about 2.15am.

Following the appeal, the man has been identified and will be interviewed by police.

In the video, he is seen smiling after carrying out the act and then walking off.

Lewes Police made an appeal earlier for information on social media to track the man down.

It said he was with friends and they were picked up in a taxi just after 2.15am.

The force said earlier: “Do you recognise this proud individual?

“We’d like to speak to him after he defecated outside a taxi office, opposite Lewes train station, at approx. 2.15am Sunday 7 April.

“The man was accompanied by a group of friends who were picked up in a silver Mercedes taxi shortly after 2:15am.

“If you were the driver of the Mercedes, or you have information on the identity of this poorly-mannered individual, please get in touch.”
