CCTV image released after police probe fake £20 notes used at Asda petrol station

A CCTV appeal has been launched following the use of fake bank notes.

North Yorkshire Police say offences took place on several occasions, including Thursday October 31, at Asda petrol station in Northallerton. The supermarket reported having received fake £20 notes as payment for goods.

A force spokesperson said: “Please contact us if you recognise the person pictured on the CCTV image as he may have information that will assist our investigation. If you can help please email zoe.treasure@northyorkshire.police.uk. Alternatively, you can call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Zoe Treasure, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
