CCTV released after men 'threaten to stab' taxi driver in Alfreton

Derbyshire police have released images of three men they would like to speak to after a taxi driver was threatened in a town. The incident saw three men and a dog get into a taxi at the Tesco store in Hall Street, Alfreton, at around 9.20pm on Wednesday, September 11, before 'threatening to stab' the driver if he did not do what they said.

The trio ordered the driver to take them - and the dog - to Ripley, which he did. A spokesperson for Derbyshire police said: "We want to speak to the three men pictured after a taxi driver was threatened during a trip to Ripley.

"The incident took place on Wednesday 11 September at 9.20pm and saw three men, and a dog, get into a taxi in Alfreton. The driver of the taxi told officers that the men threatened to stab him if he did not drive them to Ripley – he dropped the trio and the dog in the town as ordered.
