Below are Paul's top picks and what he loves about them so much:
The Fish House, Fistral Beach, Newquay
Paul loves the location on the surfing beach and rates "its consistent fish cookery of the highest order". He tells CN Traveller: "Head chef and owner Paul Harwood has an amazing pedigree, and I know so many people who have been here and always have great things to say about it."
Nancarrow Farm, near Truro
Paul had his 40th birthday here. Talking about head chef Jack Bristow, he told CN Traveller he is "so proud" of Jack after coming through the Jamie Oliver Fifteen program. Paul describes Nancarrow Farm as a "perfect woodland setting with a courtyard kitchen".

Shellfish Pig and Bango Kitchen, Penryn
Howard Sellers and Nick Archer are behind this venture. Paul describes them as "incredible guys". Shellfish Pig is the food truck belonging to the Bango Kitchen in Penryn, which is the restaurant part of the business.
When asked the best dish to order, Paul said: "Their lollipops are often made of chorizo and scallops with a soy glaze. They also make an epic skewered barbeque scallop pop with chorizo and lime, which is knockout.”
Bango has just opened a second outlet among six new foodie options at a £4 million revamped Cornish market venue. Read the full story here.
Clementine Cakery
Paul says he likes to champion new local businesses and has devoted some of his Instagram posts to Clementine Cakery in Wadebridge. Paul has worked with the owner Charlotte and admires the hard work. She has done all of the cakes for Paul's children's birthdays and he says tasting one of her bakes for yourself is not to be missed.
The Golden Lion, Padstow
"A proper local pub and has such a lovely atmosphere," says Paul. He says all the food on the menu is "beautiful" but particularly recommends the Sunday roast and says the fish and chips are 'amazing.' Paul loves the cosy atmosphere and says it's great sitting near the bar, close to the action.
