Without a doubt, you might have spotted an increasing number of people adorning their homes earlier and earlier over the past few years. Some even hang their tinsel and erect their tree before they've even packed away their Halloween decorations.

Are you an eager elf who delights in having the lights up by October, or do you hold off until December?

Or perhaps you're somewhere in between, opting for a November display?

New research by Next discovered that 25% of us adorn our homes in November. However, the start of December remains the most popular time to decorate the tree, with 41% of people preferring to do this.

The early birds argue that an October start enhances the build-up to the festivities, spreading joy throughout the final months of the year. And let's be honest, most Christmas adverts do begin airing in the first week of November.

They also believe that the lights brighten the place up and help spread cheer during the long, cold, and dark winter months.

However, some firmly believe that December is the ideal time to trim up for Christmas, while others leave it to the very last minute on Christmas Eve!
