Celebrations in Paris as Algeria Make Africa Cup of Nations Final

Jubilant Algeria fans gathered in Paris and other French cities on July 14 after their team beat Nigeria to qualify for the final of the Africa Cup of Nations.

Video posted from near the Arc de Triomphe shows the celebrations in the capital.

On the nearby Champs-Elysees, clashes were reported between police and fans, with a total of 180 arrests made in the city. According to the French interior ministry, a total of 282 arrests were made nationwide for public order offenses relating to the Algeria game, Bastille Day celebrations, and yellow vest, or gilets jaunes, protests.
