Celebrity Bake Off announces their first contestant
Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson is taking one for the team (and doing her bit for charity, of course) by taking part in a Stand Up To Cancer Bake Off special.
In a move that will surely boost her approval rating, Ruth has been revealed as the first celebrity contestant to be whacking on an apron for the hallowed GBBO tent.
According to the Guardian, Ruth will be joining a host of other hungry famous faces when Channel 4 airs its Stand Up To Cancer special later this year.

Fortunately for Ruth, this isn't her first Bake Off experience – the Scottish MP previously appeared on the spin-off show Extra Slice to critique last year's semi-finalists.
It's a lot less awkward than bacon sandwich-gate, isn't it?
Proving that politicians are just like us and love to bake (honest), a number of unlikely political names have appeared on the competition before.
Former prime ministers' wives Sarah Brown and Samantha Cameron have both showed off their baking prowess for the show's charity spin-offs, as well as former shadow chancellor Ed Balls.
Yep, before stealing the nation's hearts with his ballroom skills, Ed actually proved himself to be a dab-hand at baking. Kind of.
The Great British Bake Off continues tonight (October 17) on Channel 4 at 8pm.
