Celebrity Big Brother 2016: Ricky Norwood Rivals Christopher Biggins As Favourite To Win

The latest series of Celebrity Big Brother has certainly delivered on the drama-front (as promised), with viewers initial housemate perceptions starting to shift after an explosive first week.

Before even entering the house, Christopher Biggins emerged as the early favourite to win the series, but after his controversial comments about bisexual individuals, the presenter has suffered a drift from 15/8 to 9/4.

Surpassing Samantha Fox in the CBB league table, Ricky Norwood has become the new second favourite to win, jumping to 4/1 from 6/1, after he valiantly confronted Heavy D over his Chloe Khan insult.

Bookies report that Samantha Fox remains in the running for the title as she has moved from 7/1 to 6/1, alongside Stephen Bear who has also shortened his chance of being crowned winner from 16/1 to 10/1.

Meanwhile, it’s looking likely that Grant Bovey – who is set to face the first public eviction against James Whale (9/2) – will be meeting Emma Willis on Friday night (Aug 5) as he stands at 1/7 for the boot.

Speaking to Telly Mix, Aoife Heffron from BoyleSports said: “The betting has been relatively volatile since Celebrity Big Brother launched last week. Christopher Biggins has held on to favouritism, but after his recent drift to 9/4, the question is how long can he stay there?

“Various celebs have taken the second favourite slot and at the moment it is Ricky Norwood’s turn. One thing that suggests Ricky could be the one to take over from Biggins as the favourite is that he is breathing down his neck at 4/1.”
