The 80s pop icon, who previously turned down a spot on the show, has apparently had a change of heart on her prospective position in the forthcoming reality series.

“Producers have wanted her to go into the house for years and they’ve finally convinced her to do it,” a source told The Daily Star.

Sam has faced some difficult times, after she lost her partner and manager of 16 years, Myra Stratton, to cancer in 2015, but she is reportedly now ready to take on a new challenge.

The former glamour model has become a reality television pro’ in recent years, appearing on Celebrity Wife Swap in 2008 and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2009.

Despite her familiarity with the format, it seems as though she might face some tough competition as other celebrities tipped to appear include Union J member Jaymi Hensley, Mob Wives cast member Renee Graziano, Gogglebox pair Stephen Webb and Chris Steed and former I’m A Celebrity campmate Lady C (amongst others).
