Having been evicted on Friday’s show, the transgender newsreader has had the weekend to adjust back into regular life. This morning [Monday] she appeared on Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff, alongside host Matthew Wright and I’m A Celeb’s Stanley Johnson.

She began: ‘I think I do need to set the record straight, and I’m sorry that Stanley is here because he’s a lovely gentleman and I am a massive, massive fan…’

Before turning to him and continuing: ‘…But the architect of my demise was, sadly, your daughter.’

India reminded everyone how, within hours of entering the CBB house, she was repeatedly mis-gendered and felt alienated. ‘I started off politely just pointing out the reasons why that was inappropriate, but it continued,’ she said.

Unsurprisingly, she brought up the debacle of ‘stealing’ Ann Widdecombe’s bed, which caused tension just as the celebs were getting to know one another on the first night.

This caused some tension in the studio, with Wright asking if the women in the house ‘refused to accept who you are?’

India described an ‘undercurrent’ from the start, after the mis-gendering, and that she was singled out as the ‘runt of the litter.’

This week sees a surprise double eviction on Friday (rather than one on Tuesday), after Jonny survived last week’s first public vote.
