Celebrity Big Brother 2018: New Eye of the Storm logo revealed ahead of new series next month

Celebrity Big Brother will return to Channel 5 next month with the theme Eye of the Storm, the channel has announced.

The popular show celebrated its 18th birthday on Wednesday by revealing the brand new eye for the upcoming series.

Channel 5 confirmed in a statement that all the celebrities entering the house will have been “caught up in a media storm”, with the famous faces returning to the spotlight once again with “a lot to prove”.

The rumour mill has been in full swing since earlier this year, with names including axed Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan Cole and Katie Price’s estranged husband Kieran Hayler in the mix to pack up for Elstree.

Emma Willis – currently on screen hosting The Voice Kids UK – will return to front the show with Rylan Clark-Neal once again presenting Big Brother’s Bit On the Side.

Confirming the news to her followers, Willis tweeted: “A storm is a’brewing… #CBB is back!! See u in August @channel5_tv.

“Happy 18th birthday @bbuk!!!!!”

Clark-Neal, who had previously teased incoming big news, also shared his excitement ahead of the new series.

Writing on Twitter, he said: "CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER IS BACK! Summer is about to have a storm like never before.

"Celebrity Big Brother Eye Of The Storm coming soon to @channel5_tv #CBB #BBUK."

According to reports, the series will launch on August 17 , with the civilian version of the show airing straight after.
