Celebrity Gogglebox star Jane McDonald has opened up about the idea of dating again following the death of her fiancé Eddie Rothe.

The singer and TV presenter's partner Eddie passed away in March 2021 following a battle with lung cancer, with Jane confirming that sad news the following month.

Appearing on Loose Women yesterday (September 5), Jane spoke a bit about her love life since Eddie's death, confirming that she hasn't tried online dating.

"No I was very blessed to have a great relationship, and I don't feel as if my life needs a man to complete it," the star said.

"I’m not saying I’m never going to date again, I think that would be lovely. But I don’t feel like I need someone in my life to make it complete."

Jane further said she didn't miss having someone to come home to, before quipping: "I’m lucky I share a house with my mates… and not with my wind on a night! You know, I can’t be bothered anymore to hold it in!"

The star previously opened up about Eddie's passing on Loose Women last year, praising her support network for helping her through a tough time.

“I'm doing so much better, and you realise just how important your family are, and your friends are. And I have more good days now than bad days and I relish those now," she said.

“I was very lucky as well; I’ve always had a very busy life without the partner, so I've been able to just carry on.”

Gogglebox airs and streams on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4. Loose Women airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
