Eddie Boxshall has spoken out after splitting with his fiancée Denise Van Outen.
It was announced earlier this month that the couple had gone their separate ways after seven years together, and since then, there have been numerous tabloid reports about the reason behind it.
Taking to his social media, Eddie shared a picture of a white banner that read: "Don't Believe Everything You Read."
He added the hashtags: "#dontbelieveeverythingyouread #newsarticle #chippaper #pressbull5hit #donttroll #bekind #youdontknowme #youdontknowthetruth."
Eddie also opted to turn the comments off on the post.
Denise announced the news on of the split via her Instagram, writing: "Over the past couple of months, there has been much speculation regarding my relationship with Eddie.
"It saddens me to confirm that we are no longer a couple. I had to make the difficult decision not to continue in our relationship.
"I will always treasure the good times we spent together, and the memories made. We ask that you please respect our privacy at this time, especially for our children."
A statement from her rep added: "Denise is understandably upset about the news, but she remains optimistic for the future. Her priority is looking after her daughter and continuing to work on the many exciting projects she has coming up this year."
They previously planned to marry, and had a podcast together called Before We Say I Do.
Denise admitted on it that the pandemic had had an impact on their relationship, saying: "We've been locked down together 24/7 and a few things have come up.
"If we try and sit down and talk about things, we'll end up bickering."
Denise and Lee met on the 2007 talent show Any Dream Will Do, marrying in the Seychelles two years later, but split in 2013. They remain on good terms.
