Another episode of Celebrity Gogglebox, another vital scientific lesson in the workings of COVID-19. This time, Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid and Judge Rinder were on hand to educate viewers, and the former was on the receiving end of a rather risqué joke.

In the opening moments of tonight's episode (July 3), Rinder invited Reid to stroke his pooch Rocco, but the GMB presenter politely declined.

When Rinder asked why Reid wouldn't stroke his dog, she hesitantly suggested it was unsafe to do so, as she believed it was possible to catch coronavirus from cats.

"Cats can carry it," said Reid. "Cats can carry COVID. I read it in a news report."

"What news report?" asked Rinder.

"The news report about the cats that carry COVID. It's true!"

Rinder replied: "You can't catch... well first of all I doubt your source, but you can't catch COVID from a cat."

He naughtily added: "There are certain things undoubtedly I've been told you can pick up from pussies, but definitely not COVID."

This staggering revelation comes a week after Rylan Clark-Neal frustratingly tried to explain social distancing bubbles to his mum Linda.

The presenter tried to make it clear to his mum that they were okay to be close (and even touch each other!) because they're in the same bubble, but that didn't stop Linda's confusion.

"As long as you don't start cuddling me," said Linda,

" I'm not allowed to cuddle you now?" stropped Rylan, to which Linda replied: "Well I don't think we can."

"You're in my bubble!" a frustrated Rylan hit back. "If you're in a bubble you're allowed to touch each other... Not that we need to."
