Celebrity MasterChef judges wear sleep masks for 'fascinating experiment'
Blind comedian Jamie MacDonald wanted Greg Wallace and John Torode to experience his perspective.
What did you miss?
Celebrity MasterChef star Jamie MacDonald requested that judges Greg Wallace and John Torode covered their eyes while sampling one of his dishes.
The Finnish stand-up comic, who is blind, rustled up a special plate for the pair during the final challenge of Thursday's episode; a chicken burger consisting of roasted chicken thighs in paprika and cayenne with a pancetta, tomato, red onion and avocado salsa, served with mayonnaise and crisps.
During his presentation, MacDonald provided Wallace and Torode with their own sleep masks and urged them to experience the taste from his perspective.
What, how and why?
"They always say that the first bite is with the eyes and I never take that," he began, as Wallace and Torode listened intently. MacDonald then invited them both to wear the masks before digging in.

'20 years on, MasterChef remains a winning recipe thanks to its hosts'
"OK, that's a very, very interesting experiment actually," replied the former, tasting the burger through a new lens. "I think that, actually, not using your eyes heightens your senses. Can I thank you for that? That was a fascinating experiment."
Wallace was extremely complimentary of the burger itself too, noting: "I got the sweetness of tomato, I got the sharpness of lime and I got a nice finish of peppery heat that made my lips tingle, and I really, really enjoyed it."
Who left the competition on Thursday?
Later in the programme, socialite Emma Thynn became the group's latest casualty of the elimination stage.
"None of this has felt real at all," she laughed while speaking to the cameras. "I can't believe I did it, I'm proud of myself for doing what I've done."
Meanwhile, Jake Quickenden couldn't believe he'd reached the next round of the competition. "I'm absolutely bewildered that I've got through to the quarter-finals. I've made it so much further than I thought I was gonna make it, I'm absolutely buzzing," he grinned.
Celebrity MasterChef airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
