Kelly Brook has hinted at a disaster in the final of Celebrity Race Across The World as she admitted that she and Jeremy Parisi faced their worst fears in the last part of the race.

Brook and Parisi appeared on This Morning to talk about the BBC One series finale which is due to air tonight, when viewers will find out whether they, Jeff and Freddy Brazier, Kola Bokinni and Mary Ellen, or Scott Mills and Sam Vaughan won the show.

The model and TV star said her aims had been to finish the race, not run out of money and avoid hitchhiking - but teased "I can't say all of those dreams came true".

It's been a long five weeks for Kelly Brook and her husband Jeremy Parisi travelling through South America for Celebrity Race Across The World, with clashes over sticking to a budget and tackling gruelling bus journeys.

But in a clip from tonight's final of the BBC One show, the pair experienced what they called "the worst thing to happen to us on the show" as their bus for the final leg broke down.

Speaking to This Morning about the travel nightmare, Brook hinted that viewers would see them struggle with a disastrous final leg of the race.

Competitive Parisi admitted that towards the end of the race he had switched his goal from winning to simply finishing, saying: "The last two weeks, I said to Kelly I don't know if we can finish it."

Brook added: "You don't think about the winning, you just literally want to finish it because it's humiliating not to because then you've really not raced very well at all.

"The three things were I wanted to finish the race, I wanted to not run out of money, and I didn't want to be hitchhiking. Well, tonight, I can't say all of those dreams came true."

But despite saying they had no regrets about the show, when host Ben Shephard asked whether it had changed the way they would holiday, Brook laughed: "Are you mad? No! I couldn't wait to get my phone and my credit card back and book a nice holiday."

During the series, Celebrity Race Across The World viewers have seen Brook open up on the tough sides of being in the public eye and how her husband Parisi has little experience of that celebrity culture.

But she told This Morning that Parisi had become a celebrity since the show began airing, with fans ignoring her and even big Hollywood stars to be able to share a few words with Parisi.

She said: "So many people are coming up to us because they love the show and it's so interesting because they bypass me to go to Jeremy now and are like, 'you're so competitive, I'd be just like you.'

"This cab driver was shouting across the road yesterday, 'come on Jeremy, do you win?' I looked at Jeremy and said, 'do you realise who you're standing next to?' He was standing next to Daniel Craig and the cab driver just completely ignored Daniel Craig. I said, 'you're a celebrity now.'"

Brook and Parisi had admitted that part of their reason for wanting to do the show was to inject some excitement back into their marriage, and Brook has said that she feels the show definitely helped them to do that.

She said: "Since being married there has been lot of wedding talk for the last couple of years and Jeremy has been watching the wedding video back quite a lot. Now we will have to watch The Race back for sure.

"We both love the adventure. It’s something we can share together. So, for him to be a part of it, we understand each other better now. It adds another layer to our relationship."

The couple also said that a visit to an Argentinian vineyard during one episode of the show had got them thinking about their future.

Parisi said: "It has been my highlight too because I spoke a lot about my Italian family, my Italian farm and my olive oil business, and he was running a wine business. A wine business in Italy is something I’d like to do next.

Brook added: "It was a little window into the future for us. We have seen people doing what we want to do and what we had been dreaming of doing for a while. It is really inspiring."

This Morning airs on ITV1 at 10am on weekdays.
