Penn and Teller's Penn Jillette Reveals Incredible Weight Loss Transformation

Penn Jillette: Before and after.

Magician Penn Jillette, best known as one half of magic duo Penn & Teller, has revealed he's lost an incredible 105lbs (7 and a half stone) in just four months after a doctor told him to lose weight.

The co-host of Jonathan Ross' magic show 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us' told People magazine he adjusted his diet after a doctor suggested he'd be able to come off his blood pressure medication completely if he got his weight down to 230lbs.

The 6ft 7in star dropped from 330lbs (23.5 stone) to 225lbs (around 16 stone) between December last year and March thanks to an “extreme low-calorie program” which saw him consuming around 1000 calories a day.

He lost an average of 0.9lbs a day but has since dropped the strict regime since he achieved his target weight on his birthday, March 5.

He now follows Dr. Fuhrman’s Nutritarian diet – no animal products, no processed grains, and no added sugar or salt - and has started exercising every other day, saying “I eat unbelievable amounts of food but just very, very, very healthy food.”

“Now it’s really fun to exercise,” he says. “The only hard part of exercise is keeping it hard enough to be hard. I have so much energy and I feel so good,” says Jillette. “I’m just plain happier.”
