Celebs Go Dating's Stephen Webb has defended his sense of humour after receiving criticism both from the show's experts and viewers.
The Gogglebox star signed up for the E4 reality show after his divorce from Daniel Lustig, and on multiple dates displayed alleged "crude behaviour" with "inappropriate" questions, resulting in the "worst feedback ever" given in the show's history, and a confrontation with expert Paul C Brunson.
"I've been out of the dating game for 12 years. So, very rusty. Very rusty," he said on Best magazine's Suddenly Single podcast.

"And I have got, I will admit, a kind of 1970's Benny Hill, kind of, sense of humour which doesn't go down well with the under 30s.
"I've had to tune that in, I've learned that from being on Celebs Go Dating that I may be a little bit archaic. I just think there's a lot of people out there that are ready to be offended, and ready to cancel you. So I was quite aware of that. Not straight away.
"I'm upfront. I'm straight to the point and I ask maybe probing questions, and a couple of my dates were, like, 'I feel attacked, I feel offended.' So I was like, 'taxi!'"

Fellow expert Anna Williamson recently explained that she thought that Stephen "doesn't deserve some of the horrible headlines" as he "just wasn't aware of how he was coming across on dates".
"The point of Celebs Go Dating is that in the early stages, in particular, we see them making mistakes," she said. "But they're making the mistakes that so many people make and I think we need to be a bit kinder to the judgment we give celebrities and someone like Stephen."
Celebs Go Dating airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 9pm on E4.
