Celebs Go Dating spoilers follow.

Celebs Go Dating star Stephen Webb requested a meeting with expert Paul C Brunson after complaints about his dating style.

The former Gogglebox star faced some home truths in Monday’s (August 26) episode, as both of his dates – Ben and Dean – shared that they found his "crude" remarks to be off-putting and "inappropriate".

Paul interjected during the brunch, saying that Stephen’s "crude and selfish" behaviour would mean that he "wouldn’t be successful in life" if he continued that way, with Stephen later being consoled being fellow expert Anna Williamson.

Tonight's (August 27) episode saw Stephen head to the agency for an impromptu meeting with Paul, beginning: "It was a disastrous brunch. You tore a pound of flesh off me – I just felt attacked. It was the tone – maybe if you'd said it another way [it would be easier]."

"My intention is not to make you feel sad or angry, but I have a very direct tone," replied Paul. "That is my style of coaching, and I think there's a bit of shock value that comes with it because I don't sugarcoat."

Stephen, who divorced from husband Daniel Lustig earlier this year, added: "You went in on me, calling me 'crude' – then the one line of 'you’ll never be successful in life.' That's something I’ve heard a lot so that triggered me. I felt absolutely stripped to the bone."

"I was linking that to three characteristics – selfishness, crudeness and close-mindedness," replied Paul. "Those are the characteristics through the feedback and listening to you on the couch. But I don’t believe you show up like that every day.

"When you came in for your first session, I said that you were incredibly kind and well-intentioned – I stand by that today. But I apologise for making you feel sad as a result of my tone."

The pair concluded by sharing a hug, with each emphasising that they were glad to sort the matter out and gain a mutual understanding. Stephen later went on his first date since the feedback – will he be able to change his approach? ...
