Katie Price and her boyfriend Kris Boyson have been forced to pull out of an upcoming series Celebs Go Dating.

The television personality and professional weight loss specialist were set to be the first couple to receive counselling on the popular reality show. But E4 bosses encouraged them to quit when it “emerged that [the former] would be breaching her contract with another TV production company” if she took part.

“Everyone was really excited when Katie agreed to be part of the new series and she has already filmed some amazing bits with Kris Boyson,” a source told The Sun.

“She had to go. Katie agreed that her time was up and she knows the door is always open if she wants to give it another go.”

“It’s obviously really disappointing but there are some other really good cast members this series so the show will still be a success.”

Confirmed participants include Love Island stars Megan Barton-Hanson and Jack Fincham, socialite and former I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! contestant Lady Colin Campbell, TOWIE personality Lauren Goodger and Blue singer Lee Ryan.

Presenters Tom Read-Wilson, Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson are set to help the famous faces find love.

When the line-up was announced last week, Price said that the couple - who have been dating for just over a year - hoped the show would sort out their rocky relationship.

"We've come to Paul and Anna to help us out because there are just too many people involved in our relationship," she explained at the time. "Too many chefs around and too many stories going on about us."

Boyson admitted that the pair want to move in together soon, but are worried they’d “end up tearing each other apart” if they didn’t work out their issues before taking the leap.
