Celebs Go Dating's Helen Flanagan branded 'time waster' after crazy twist
You've got to wonder why she joined the reality show.
What did you miss?
Celebs Go Dating star Helen Flanagan has come out with a shocking curveball on the E4 reality show.
Scenes airing on Tuesday 3 September saw this year's famous lineup — Chris Taylor, Jamelia, Tristan Phipps, Ella Morgan, Stephen Webb and Coronation Street actress Flanagan — partaking in some 'fast flirting', or speed dating to the rest of society.
It's been a running theme throughout Flanagan's time on the show, but the 34-year-old looked absolutely lost for conversational ideas when the carousel of single lads turned up at her table. Having decided not to chase further dates with any of them, she stood in front of the group and delivered quite the bombshell: she's been seeing someone on the outside since the start of the year and wanted to bring him into the process.
What, how and why?
"This is just really difficult because I feel like, I really have given the agency my heart and soul," she said to Anna Williamson, Paul Carrick Brunson and Tara Suwinyattichaiporn.
"I'm a very, very honest person, but I did meet someone at home at the beginning of the year. I really wanted to join the agency because I kind of felt like, obviously I was in a really long-term relationship, not much dating experience, and I really wanted to do this for me. For me to grow, to find out more about myself. But it's really hard because there's somebody at home that I have fallen for."

Flanagan revealed she'd been comparing each of her TV dates to this mystery guy and this was having a major impact on her experience. "I think I am in love with him," she added.
Understandably taken aback by the news, stone-faced dating agent Brunson pointed out the fact Flanagan had been lying and wasting everyone's time.
"Maybe I could bring him in?" she asked, to which Williamson replied: "This is something that we're gonna have to seriously think about."
How did viewers take the news?
Posting on social platform X, Celebs Go Dating fans were up in arms over Flanagan's behaviour. "What a waste of space that lying Helen is," declared one viewer, with a second person suggesting: "Helen was just on the show to get paid. Simple."
"Helen literally went on dates and even kissed a guy, while she has a boyfriend?! Not cool," someone else highlighted.

Helen only joined to appear on the telly , what a time waster, you join a dating show looking for a date and you already have a boyfriend, why join in the first place #CelebsGoDating pic.twitter.com/4DGBEuWw5c
