Things got a bit awkward when Celebs Go Dating’s ‘Muggy’ Mike was asked about his love life.
When asked about Megan, the often vocal Mike went rather quiet. ‘Erm, we did go on a date,’ he sheepishly revealed. That date just so happened to have been on Valentine’s Day which, as Susanna pointed out, is a rather significant date to pick.
‘No one wants to be alone on that day, do they? We had a good time,’ he went on to say, as the atmosphere in the studio got a bit tense.
‘I’m 25 now and I don’t want to be single forever.’
The reality TV lothario went on to describe the reasons why he opted to go on the dating show: ‘I went on [Celebs Go Dating] knowing it would be a hard task to meet a girl, but I was very open-minded. And truthfully if I did meet a girl [on the show] – and you don’t know if I do or not yet – then I’d be open to it and see what happens.’
Mike was joined on the GMB couch by Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, who also described the experience of appearing on the dating programme as ‘amazing’.
‘I’m loving it. It’s amazing. The idea of it [the show] is so cool. It came at a good time for me as I’d just been dumped,’ he shared.
Sam, 25, went on to suggest the show is transforming him into a more complete man: ‘You grow as a person almost because dating encompasses a lot of your actual personality in life, like confidence, not being insecure. Under the guidance of everyone else, I’ve grown into a bit of a better person.’
