Last year the series was a huge ratings success for ITV, with millions tuning in to see Gogglebox legend Scarlett Moffatt crowned Queen of the Jungle. The audience peak for the 2016 finale reached a whopping 11.4 million – the highest since 2013.
But will the show be able to achieve the same success this year? Well, ITV has set the bar pretty high and will need to be pulling out all the stops to stand a chance. So what tricks has the broadcaster got tucked up its sleeve? Here's everything we know so far...
I'm a Celebrity 2017 air date: When does it start?
As of yet, ITV is yet to confirm the exact transmission date.
But what we do know is that the series has pretty much always started in November, so that's where we're putting our money.
I'm a Celebrity 2017 hosts: Are Ant & Dec returning?
Geordie icons Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have presented the ITV series ever since it launched 15 years ago, back in 2002.
The show wouldn't be the same without them. However, some fans weren't too confident that the pair will be returning this season following Ant's admission into rehab.
Reports claimed that Holly Willoughby was in line to replace Ant while he made his recovery – but ITV boss Kevin Lygo confirmed on August 24 that Ant will not be taking a break for too much longer, and they expect him to return once again for the reality series.
I'm a Celebrity 2017 cast: Which celebrities will be taking part?
There's still a few months to go until the new series starts but ITV bosses are already in final talks with celebrities who will be entering the jungle this year.
A lot of names are currently doing the rounds on the rumour mill, from soap actors to reality stars to rappers – but which of them will actually be in the jungle this autumn?
Check out the rumoured campmates below and see what you think.
Last series, her hubby competed, now insiders think 2017 could be Frankie's year in the jungle. She recently hinted to The Mirror she wouldn't mind signing up for IAC: "I think now Wayne's done it and he loved it and he said he would do it again, it kind of makes me feel positive that I would enjoy it." Will producers give her the chance?
He was a hit on Celebrity Big Brother and is hugely popular on Made in Chelsea. Now, TV insiders are reporting that Sam is planning to enter the jungle later this year. According to bookies, he's currently the favourite MiC cast member to sign up for the show – although nothing has yet been confirmed.
While her pal Mollie King is wowing the nation on Strictly Come Dancing, Vanessa has reportedly been in secret talks to appear on I'm A Celebrity. According to The Mirror, The Saturdays star has already signed on the dotted line and ITV will be confirming her place in the not too distant future. We'll watch this space.
Charlotte is another name tipped for the jungle this series. Show insiders are allegedly planning to sign her up following the success of her former Geordie Shore co-star Vicky Pattison , who was crowned Jungle Queen back 2015. Charlotte has denied rumours claiming she's set for I'm A Celeb – but is she just trying to throw us off?
Mel & Sue
Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins are tipped to enter the jungle TOGETHER laster this year at 11/2, according to bookies Betway. Spokesperson Alan Ager said: "Speculation about this year's I'm A Celeb contestants is really ramping up and Bake Off's Mel and Sue are the two latest names in the mix, with odds suggesting that they could be close to signing up for the jungle."
His Geordie Shore co-star Vicky Pattison won I'm A Celebrity 2015, could this year be Gaz's turn? Bookies certainly seem to think so. He's set at 6/1 to enter the jungle. With a baby on the way as he prepares to become a father for the first time, he could probably do with the huge career boost.
If bookies are right, Kady could be the first Love Island star to enter the jungle. Betway has put her at odds of 11/4 to sign up for I'm A Celeb. Adam Thomas, the twin brother of her boyfriend Scott Thomas, came in third place last year so we're sure he can give her a few tips.
We're not sure how much truth there is to this rumour given he's got a newborn at home, a stunning girlfriend in the form of Cheryl and a solo career to work on. But reports claim that the former One Direction star is set to enter the jungle. He's currently at 20/1 to jet Down Under for the ITV series.
McFly fans were convinced Tom had signed up for I'm a Celeb when he posted a picture on Instagram earlier this year of a straw-filled box with a cockroach on top. Was he trying to tell us something? He denied he'd be following in the footsteps of pal Dougie Poynter by heading into the jungle to the Daily Star recently: "I've got stuff going on. Dougie won I'm a Celebrity, Harry [Judd] won Strictly Come Dancing. But I'm alright. I'm happy to watch them go off and do it." Hmm... Maybe he's trying to throw us off?
I'm a Celeb bosses are allegedly in the process of trying to get Sam to sign up. Rumour has it, they've already made the offer and now are just waiting for the ex-England boss to make up his mind. "His family are fully aware of the situation but it's down to Sam at the end of the day and he most definitely hasn't ruled anything out," a source told The Sun. "He loves a challenge, loves a laugh and good company so joining the 17th series ticks all the boxes."
Laura Simpson aka 'The Rooney Girl'
Laura has been in the headlines ever since she was caught with Wayne Rooney when he was charged with drink driving. She quickly quashed rumours that anything had happened between them – and now bookies William Hill have put her at odds of 10/1 to enter the jungle. "Simpson has appeared in papers and on breakfast television and no doubt would interest the bookers on I'm a Celeb," spokesman Joe Crilly told the Daily Star. "Given her recent self-promotion, it wouldn't be a surprise to see her say yes."
We're not sure if EastEnders will let him have the time off, but according to Betfair, Danny is such a favourite for I'm a Celeb this year that they've put him at 2/1. Should he sign on the dotted line, the Cockney geezer will be following in the footsteps of several other Walford legends such as Larry Lamb and Joe Swash.
Yes, really! Following her disastrous first attempt at life in the jungle, it's reported that the TOWIE star is going to give I'm a Celeb one more shot. And apparently, the show's co-host Declan Donnelly is backing the idea. "He thought she was really good [last time she was on] and he told Gemma she would be great if she came back to the show," an unidentified source told The Sun Online.
Rumour has it the ITV bosses are super keen to sign up Paisley following her popularity on Tattoo Fixers and Celebs Go Dating. Apparently, TV insiders think she could be the next Scarlett Moffatt. When asked if she'd consider doing the show, she told OK! magazine: "I wouldn't say no, but I'm not going to say yeah and jump at the opportunity if I get offered the jungle."
We REALLY hope this rumour is true! Following his huge success on Love Island, the reality show winner is currently in talks to partner up with ITV on even more projects.
Shortly after leaving the villa, Kem and girlfriend Amber Davies signed up to present the entertainment news on Good Morning Britain for a month – that's been 100% confirmed on paper – and he's also got a spin-off show coming to ITV2 with best buddy Chris Hughes.
Once he's finished there, we hear he'll be flying Down Under for I'm A Celeb.
Luckily, all her filming commitments seem to be with ITV and so we're sure bosses will be able to make a stint in the jungle happen if they really want to.
Another Love Island 2017 star, fans are convinced Chris could have won the show. But despite how popular he is, the pin-up farmer lost out to pal Kem because of his rocky relationship with Olivia Attwood.
Now, it's believed Chris is being given a second chance at reality TV and has signed up for I'm a Celeb. Could he win this time round?
Danielle quit TOWIE in late 2016, and fans have been waiting for her TV comeback.
It's going to be a long wait but we hear it'll be worth it, as she's reportedly signed up for I'm a Celeb.
Following in the footsteps of Joey Essex and Gemma Collins, she's believed to be entering the jungle when the series returns this November. Hopefully, she'll last longer than The GC.
After watching his brother Adam have the time of his life on the show last year, it's believed Coronation Street actor Ryan is eager to have a go as well.
The star played Jason Grimshaw on the cobbles for 16 years before deciding to leave in 2016, and he'll soon be seen on Channel 4's Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls, filmed earlier this year.
A source close to Ryan reckons he would be "superb" in the jungle, so we'll watch this space...
She was definitely quite a character on The X Factor last year and apparently, Honey G's eccentric personality and loud fashion sense has caught the attention of I'm a Celeb bosses.
Reports claim that ITV has been desperate to get the rapper in the jungle – but will she say yes?
It's reported that Love Island's Muggy Mike is currently in talks with ITV bosses to enter the jungle.
Previously, the show has faced criticism for signing up reality stars like Ferne McCann and Vicky Pattison.
But keen to bring in younger viewers and a buzz on social media, bosses are allegedly planning to ignore that negativity following the popularity of programmes such as Love Island – according to tabloid insiders.
I'm a Celebrity is almost as famous for its sexed-up shower scenes as it is for Bushtucker Trials. But which celebs have they got in mind to bring the eye candy to the show this series? Apparently Strictly's Kristina.
We hear she's keen to sign up following the success of her friend Ola Jordan on last year's series. Will ITV give her the chance?
I'm a Celebrity 2017 returns to ITV in the autumn.
