Never one to shy away from a sartorial statement, Celine Dion has long been known to have the occasional flirtation with fashion.

But while her white trouser suits and metallic stage outfits only got her so far in the eyes of style critics, the last couple of months have seen the musician entirely reinvent her aesthetic to rapturous acclaim.

With the transformation gradually coming into fruition over the last year - cast your mind back to the bespoke Versace in May at the Met Gala and the green Zuhair Murad number at the 2017 Grammys - it wasn't until this season's couture showcase in Paris that the 49-year-old's new style truly came into its own.

Throwing herself full throttle into the land of high fashion, Dion even sparked the hashtag #celinetakescouture in homage to her brave new look.

With a wardrobe to rival even the most regular front row attendees, the last month has seen the star wearing a pair of leather lace up boots by Saint Laurent, a Gucci floral pussybow dress and a dramatic white couture cape by Ralph & Russo .

A cobalt blue tracksuit by brand of the moment Off-White cemented her newfound status as one of 2017's fashion icons.

Her secret weapon? Law Roach. The America's Next Top Model judge and stylist behind Zendaya's much-admired aesthetic is said to be the driving force behind the Canadian singer's new high-fashion-meets-streetwear look.

Take a look above at all the key moments that cemented Dion's position as the nation's - or, rather, fashion's - newest sweetheart.
