Celine Dion To Return To Las Vegas Stage Tonight

Celine Dion will return to her Las Vegas residency show tonight (23rd February), for the first time since her husband René Angélil sadly passed away following a battle with throat cancer last month.

Celine is reportedly planning to start tonight’s show with a ten-minute tribute to her late husband.

73-year-old René had been fighting the deadly disease since 2013, with the couple having three children together; fourteen-year-old René, and five-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson, René also has three grown up children from a previous relationship.

Celine took a break from her residency at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace Hotel in Vegas last year when René’s condition worsened, but she returned to the stage again last August.

She previously admitted that she was planning on taking as little time off as possible following René’s death because she knows he’d have wanted her to be strong and carry on.

Speaking about her spirituality, Celine also shared: “Life is not always perfect. You have to deal with it. Whatever life imposes - sickness, or whatever, you don’t have a choice. This is life, this is nature.

"But you do have the choice on how you’re going to go through this. And if you don’t have spirituality you’re going to fall apart before things happen. I am very spiritual. I believe in myself, I believe in my family, and I’m positive. Through this, you show your children how to deal with things, and how to be strong.”

We’re wishing Celine all the luck in the world for tonight’s return to the stage.
