Celtic have confirmed that their home clash with Dundee won't be going ahead.

The Premiership champions have confirmed that the match has been postponed after Storm Eowyn battered the country on Friday causing widespread disruption, including damage to the stadium.

The club earlier warned that an assessment of the damage to the stadium would need to be made before a decision was taken over whether the game against Tony Docherty's side could go ahead or not.

With conditions easing on Saturday, club officials were able to take a closer look and have been forced to call off the game in the interests of safety.

A club statement read: "Today’s scheduled Scottish Premiership match between Celtic and Dundee at Celtic Park has been called off.

"Unfortunately, due to the stadium damage sustained yesterday we have been advised that we are unable to proceed with today's match. While clearly this is disappointing, the safety of our supporters will always be our priority.

"The rearranged fixture will take place on February 5, 2025 with a 7.45pm kick-off."
