Pascal Siakam woke up from a slow start to lead Toronto with 24 points on 10-of-23 shooting, while Kyle Lowry sparked the win with a 22-point, 11-rebound and 7-assist night. The Raptors’ leader went all-out to get the win:
As for the Celtics, it’s a wonder how they didn’t lose by more. Facing a switch-happy and constantly shifting Raptors defense that even tried some box-and-1 looks on Jayson Tatum, it was a brutal shooting night for Boston. The team finished 7-of-35 from the 3-point line, and the only player to make multiple 3-pointers was Jaylen Brown, who was 2-of-11 from deep.
Just a year ago, we watched the Raptors face a 2-0 deficit against the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference finals, then reel off four straight wins to reach the NBA Finals. The Celtics will try to head off a repeat o that performance on Monday in a pivotal Game 5.
