Central line: Severe delays due to ‘staff shortage’ on Tube and Metropolitan line hit bit fault - Sept 20
Passengers using the Central and Metropolitan Tube lines were hit by severe rush hour delays on Wednesday morning (September 20).
At 8am Transport for London (TfL) was reporting severe delays on the Central line due to a “shortage of control room staff”.
A “track fault” at Chalfont & Latimer, in Buckinghamshire, meant there was no Metropolitan Line service to Chesham while it was fixed. There were severe delays between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aldgate, along with minor delays between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge, Watford and Amersham.
