Is Champions Cup final rugby on ITV after FA Cup final clash?

There is a major fixture clash in the sporting calendar today, with the FA Cup final taking place at the same time as the Investetc Champions Cup final.

Those who are fans of both rugby and football will have a decision to make on Saturday, May 25. A Manchester derby awaits viewers in the football final, while Leinster lock horns with Toulouse in the rugby final.

Manchester City v Manchester United was initially meant to kick off at 5.30pm, but the time has been brought forward on police advice. The game will now kick off at 3pm.

Leinster are looking to finally secure the coveted Champions Cup trophy after losing the final two years in a row against French opposition - La Rochelle. However, Ronan O'Gara's side were actually dispatched by Leinster in the semi-finals this year, but Leo Cullen's team will now have the challenge of the mighty Toulouse - another French heavyweight.

In the football final, Pep Guardiola is hoping to secure a double, after winning the Premier League last weekend. Erik ten Hag's future with Manchester United is a big talking point right now, and United's performance this weekend could sway the decision-makers.

Is Champions Cup final on ITV after FA Cup final clash?

Both games will be broadcasted live on ITV, but on different channels.

The FA Cup final coverage will start at 1.45pm on ITV1, while the Champions Cup final coverage will start at 2pm on ITV4. It will also be shown on TNT Sports.

Kick-off times:

  • FA Cup - 3pm

  • Champions Cup - 2.45pm

This means you will not be able to watch the Champions Cup final after the FA Cup final, because they are both kicking off just 15 minutes apart.
