A beloved East Yorkshire attraction is giving animal lovers the chance to get up close with its alpacas, llamas and penguins.
Sewerby Hall, Gardens and Zoo is offering a unique opportunity to interact with some of their cherished residents through incredible animal encounters.
Among the latest experiences available are llama and alpaca walks. Participants have the option to meet either llamas or alpacas, taking a private guided walk through the picturesque grounds of Sewerby Hall and Gardens, leading their chosen animal.

During this, zookeepers will introduce visitors to the friendly group of llamas or alpacas, answering any questions people might have. There will be ample opportunities to snap photos during the walk, enabling participants to immortalise a truly unforgettable experience.
An accessible route is also provided where visitors can still enjoy the thrill of meeting the llamas and alpacas, guiding them along a shorter path at their own leisurely pace.
Meanwhile, the attraction is also offering to chance to meet its Humboldt penguins. During this encounter, the zookeeper will introduce people to the colony of adorable flightless birds, sharing insights about their distinctive personalities and habits before answering any questions.
Following this, visitors will assist in preparing the food and finish by hand-feeding the penguins.
All animal encounter participants will be granted free entry into Sewerby Zoo, along with a certificate, a fact sheet, the latest zoo newsletter, a Sewerby Hall and Gardens pen, and a voucher for a 25 per cent discount on selected refreshments at the Clock Tower Cafe.
Animal encounters are limited to two participants per booking. The minimum age requirement is 10 years old for the penguins and 13 years old for the alpaca/llama experiences, provided they are accompanied by an adult. A spectator fee is applicable.
Annual pass holders can take advantage of a 20 per cent discount on all animal encounter experiences. During the autumn and winter season, prices for the alpaca and llama encounters are £75 for up to two people, and £60 for the penguins.
Councillor Nick Coultish, East Riding of Yorkshire Council's cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism, said: ''Animal encounters are a fantastic way for people to make the most out of their visit to Sewerby Hall, Gardens and Zoo.
''People will have the opportunity to learn about these animals first-hand from the zookeepers themselves, what better way is there to experience a zoo?"
