Chance the Rapper will perform at the Ramova Theatre in Bridgeport in a concert 7 p.m. Feb. 16, according to an announcement Wednesday.
Tickets go on sale to the public 10 a.m. Feb. 2; tickets and more information at ramovachicago.com and event.etix.com. (This will be an all-ages show, according to the announcement; general admission, limit four tickets.) A venue presale for mailing list subscribers begins 10 a.m. Feb. 1.
Chicago’s Chance the Rapper is part of the investment and ownership group for the venue, alongside Quincy Jones and Jennifer Hudson. The Ramova Theatre reopened late last year after a renovation, returning as a restaurant, live music venue and cornerstone for the Bridgeport neighborhood.
“I can’t wait to kick things off next month with a historic hometown concert at the newly restored Ramova Theatre,” Chance said in part in a statement. “The Ramova has played an integral part in Chicago’s renowned arts culture.”
The concert will be his first in Chicago since headlining the United Center last August.
