Notice something a little bit different about Instagram recently? That'll be because of a tiny new change that's making a big difference to the way your feed looks.
Before, when people you follow had previously liked a picture, their name would pop up underneath the image. Personally, we found this a very sneaky way of seeing who was liking other people's posts (spoiler: it's usually the same bunch of friends bigging each other up).
Now, however, you'll see mini icons of their profile pictures rather than their name, which unless you know everyone's lead image off by heart, makes it much more difficult to figure out who's liking what at first sight.
If you're a big Instagram Story watcher, you'll probably be familiar with your feed's icons anyway, and we would guess this new change is a way of making the whole app look more streamlined.
However, you can still go into the 'Following' feature to see exactly what everyone is liking and commenting on, so this doesn't hugely affect your Insta-experience.
Instagram has announced some other exciting new updates that could change the way you use the app, though.
A shopping feature will allow users to add stickers with a shopping bag icon to Stories, which followers can tap on to find out more details about the product.
The new Instagram Stories shopping feature is only available for businesses, not individual sellers or consumers trying to get affiliate payments. However, this may change in future if the update is well-received.
