Leicester City get their Premier League season underway with the visit of Tottenham Hotspur this evening.

Foxes fans will be keen to catch a glimpse of Steve Cooper’s style after a string of poor results in the pre-season - most recently Cooper oversaw a poor performance in a 3-0 defeat to French side Lens nine days ago. Although, as ever, pre-season is about fitness and not results but the warning signs and lack of squad depth was there for all to see.

The Foxes are heavily linked with Spurs midfielder Oliver Skipp - who is unlikely to feature tonight as he finalises the details of his move, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

City have secured five new signings this term; Abdul Fatawu, Caleb Okoli, Michael Golding, Bobby De Cordova Reid, and Facundo Buonanotte (loan).

The last time the two sides met in the Premier League the Foxes put in an impressive performance securing a 4-1 victory thanks to goals from Harvey Barnes, James Maddison, Kelechi Iheanacho and Papy Mendy.
