Cape Town – Get ready because this might be the most important thing you read today.
It seems like Hollywood hunk Chris Evans secretly sneaked into South Africa and didn't let us know.
We first caught wind of Captain America's presence on our soil via the grapevine and we knew what had to be done. We launched a full scale investigation (aka we stalked his pretty little ass).
The first proof we found of Chris being in Mzansi was a photo shared on Twitter by Dakota St. Pierre. The photo posted on 15 June sees Chris posing with Dakota and his friend Matt Watkins who were both on the same flight as Captain America from Georgia, USA to Cape Town, South Africa.
We've reached out to Dakota to ask what it was like to come within touching distance of our future husband. We'll update you when he replies.

While in South Africa Chris has maintained a very low profile and had not been spotted anywhere else, which lead us to believe his visit may have been short but still sweet.
However, another photograph surfaced on Twitter on 1 July implying that the Gifted actor was still in the country and was filming a new project called Red Sea Diving Resort, an upcoming biographical drama directed and written by Gideon Raff. (Raff previously worked on Homeland - which as you might remember had one season filmed in Cape Town.)
Callsheet actually reported earlier this year that the flick would be filmed in SA. The film’s IMDb states that Ben Kingsley, Michael K. Williams, Haley Bennett and Michiel Huisman are set to star in it as well.

The same photo was also shared on Instagram on 1 July along with a few more from the set. The pics were taken and shared by South African actress/model Narusha Chetty, who looks to be in the film herself. Narusha has since removed the photo from the social media site. Channel24 has reached out to her for comment.
Now, it has been two weeks since Chris was last spotted on our shores so there is no proving that the 36-year-old is still here, however you may recall the actor tweeting about how much he misses his adorable dog Dodger on Saturday, 8 July. (Read more here)
He then confirmed that Dodger would be “thousands of miles away for the next couple of months.” Does this mean Chris will be filming in SA for the next couple of months?

To be clear, he's alive and well, just thousands of miles away for the next couple months.
