Hollywood stars Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have finalised their divorce, a year and a half after announcing their split.

The former couple met on the set of 2006 romantic drama Step Up before tying the knot in 2009.

Magic Mike star Tatum, 39, and Dewan, 38, made their split public in April 2018.

They share a six-year-old daughter Everly, who was born in London. Their divorce was finalised in Los Angeles on Tuesday, legal documents reveal.

No details of the custody arrangements for Everly were given.

In a joint statement announcing their split, Tatum and Dewan previously said: “Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now.”

Signed “Chan&Jenna”, they said there were “no secrets or salacious events at the root of our decision – just two best friends realising it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible”.

Since the split, Tatum has started dating British singer Jessie J, while Dewan recently announced she is expecting her first child with partner and actor Steve Kazee.

Dewan has also claimed she felt “blindsided” after learning of the pair’s relationship “over the internet, as it was happening.”

Writing in her upcoming book Gracefully You: Finding Beauty and Balance in the Everyday, the actress opened up about the aftermath of the break up.

“The rumour mill was churning out story after story,” she wrote. “There were many times I hid under the covers, wondering what was next. The pain hit me like a tumbling avalanche. I was completely overcome with fear and sadness.”

She said that she found out about her ex’s new romance when she was “on a plane, alone.”

“Choosing grace as I learned everything about my personal situation along with the rest of the world was really difficult,” she added.
