Channing Tatum will be voicing the lead role of America's first president George Washington in Netflix's upcoming R-rated movie America: The Motion Picture.

According to Deadline, the animated feature will will be a revisionist history tale about the founding of the country – and we can hardly wait.

America: The Motion Picture will be directed by Matt Thompson, with a script written by Dave Callaham.

Callaham recently wrote the script for the highly anticipated but perhaps astronomically budgeted Zombieland 2, which we can't wait to see in action.

As well as taking on the lead role, Tatum will be producing the film alongside Peter Kiernan, Reid Carolin, and The Lego Movie dream team Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Will Allegra.

Tatum can next be seen in Steven Soderbergh's comeback gig Logan Lucky and Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Golden Circle, where he'll play a Statesman Secret Agent.

Meanwhile, Tatum was due to take on the lead in X-Men spin-off Gambit, which has suffered a series of setbacks since it was first announced. The good news is, it's not dead yet.
