Charisma Carpenter has thanked David Boreanaz for his “private” support after fans repeatedly called on the Angel star to address her allegations against Joss Whedon.

On Wednesday (10 February), Charisma Carpenter accused the Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator of “abusing his power” on the set and firing her from spin-off series Angel after she had given birth.

Since the allegations surfaced, Boreanaz, who appeared alongside Carpenter in Buffy and Angel, was urged by fans to make a public statement.
