Charles Bradley has died at the aged of 68.

The funk and soul singing legend passed away this weekend after an ongoing battle with cancer.

Bradley was diagnosed with stomach cancer in the fall of 2016 and underwent treatment successfully.

After receiving a clean bill of health and heading back on tour, he later received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to his liver and he passed away a short while later.

Bradley was discovered late in his life after launching his debut album in 2011 at the age of 62 and his second Victim of Love in 2013.

His third album Changes was released in 2016 to wide critical praise and he performed on national television shows including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Conan and CBS This Morning: Saturday – a performance that led to an Emmy nomination for "Outstanding On-Camera Musical Performance in a Daytime Program."

Since news of his passing broke, artists from across the globe have paid tribute to the singer on social media.
