London’s brightest boxing talents are in action on Saturday on a card headlined by Charlie Edwards making his first world title defence against Angel Moreno.
Edwards produced a masterful performance against Cristofer Rosales on an emotional night in December to win the WBC flyweight title in his 15th fight as a professional – fulfilling a promise to his ailing mother.
The Croydon-born fighter has his eye on unification bouts against Kosei Tanaka, Moruti Mthalane and Artem Dalakian, who hold the WBO, IBF and WBA belts respectively. But first, a title defence against Moreno, who has just two defeats in his 23-fight career, awaits for the 26-year-old.
Josh Buatsi also features on the card at the Copper Box Arena as he takes on Liam Conoy for the British light-heavyweight title.
Anthony Joshua’s protégé Lawrence Okolie also features as he looks to secure the 12th victory of his burgeoning career, defending his British and Commonwealth cruiserweight straps against Wadi Camacho.
Shannon Courtenay also makes her professional debut
