Taking to social media to share her happiness with fans, Charlotte expressed: "I'm so happy. It's finally out. It's been the hardest secret ever as I'm so bad at keeping secrets as you know. I feel so relieved that I can finally say it, but I just can't believe it, and I never thought I'd have a girl. I've finally got my little princess, and we weren't even trying were we?"
In an emotional outpour, Charlotte added: "I'm so happy I'm going to have my little best friend for life." The little girl will join her brothers Noah, three, and one-year-old Jude, who both often feature across Charlotte’s social posts.
In a heartfelt confession to OK! Magazine prior to learning the sex of the baby, Charlotte opened up about Matt’s alleged cheating and considered the possibility that having a daughter might influence his attitudes towards women positively.
Charlotte revealed her feelings about the addition to their family, stating: "I just want the baby to be happy and healthy, but it would be amazing to have a little girl. I'm dying to dress her up and play Barbies. It would be amazing for Matthew, too, as it would help him understand respect for females."

She added: "He'd understand why you can't treat women that way. I think being a girl dad would make him a better man, but we'll see what happens. Either way, the baby will be loved completely."
The 31-year-old candidly spoke about the difficulties of pregnancy during such a challenging period, admitting: "It's been a crazy time. Having to deal with the heartache, the hurt, the disappointment and being pregnant on top of it all... it's been absolutely horrible."
Regarding her partner Matt, she confirmed he's returned to the family home but isn't off the hook yet. She firmly stated: "I made him go and say sorry to the life-size cardboard cutout I keep of my dad [late comedy entertainer Les Dawson]. And he has a lot of making up to do with my mum, too."
Looking ahead to the future and her gut feeling about expecting a daughter, Charlotte expressed: "This time, I do feel really sick and I do feel different to the boys so come on, let's pray for pink!"
"My mum has got all of my little outfits from when I was a little girl and I feel like it would just be really special and I think I need a mini-me! I need to dress a little mini-me," she added.
