The official reason for Charlotte's absence given by WWE was that she had suffered a fracture of the radius, meaning that she would "be out of action indefinitely" due to her injury.
However, it was later reported by Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer that Charlotte's injury was for storyline purposes so that she can be written off TV ahead of her wedding to AEW's Andrade El Idolo.
The couple tied the knot in late May and ever since, it seems Charlotte has been enjoying married life away from the wrestling ring.
But on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday (November 29), Charlotte shared her biggest tease yet that she'll be lacing up her wrestling boots again by... literally posting a photo of her laced-up boots.
While Charlotte has been keeping a low profile over recent months, the same can't be said for her husband Andrade.
Andrade last wrestled for AEW at All Out in September, competing in the Casino Ladder Match. However, a month later he was suspended from the company due to a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara.
Earlier this week, Andrade revealed that he underwent surgery for a torn pectoral. Sharing photos from his hospital bed on Twitter, Andrade wrote: "My first surgery. I can't believe it happened.
"A few months ago, I tore my pectoral. Thanks god! I could and wanted to finish my match. I kept working because I love the business but we know that many people do not value your effort, these days off I took the opportunity to go to Dr."
