Can't get enough of The Chase? Well, fear not, quiz fans, as ITV has just announced that a spin-off of the hugely popular series is on its way.
Set to make its debut at the end of the month (April 27), the new show – titled Beat The Chasers – sees brave brainy types take on champions Anne Hegerty, Mark Labbett, Jenny Ryan, Paul Sinha and Shaun Wallace solo in an attempt to take home big money.
Said to be like the existing "daytime show, but in reverse" format, hopefuls will initially take part in a Cash Builder round to win up to £5,000 and then be tasked with deciding between various offers, such as facing fewer chasers for less money and vice versa.

There's one catch, though. If the contestant gets their first question wrong, they're instantly out of the game.
"I think what everyone's going to notice is how exciting it is," Anne explained in a press release. "The game going back and forth between the Chasers and the contestants is like a tennis match. There are very close finishes."
Presenter Bradley Walsh, however, reckons watching the chasers learn "to play as a team and not cut across each other or jump in and get a question wrong" is the most entertaining part of the revamped programme.
"I think sometimes they found it difficult and that was what was interesting to me," he said. "They're not team players. They don't normally play as a team. For them to try this out was an experiment to see how they got on."
"I didn't see any rows," he laughed. "Although I did take every opportunity to wind them up in the most unceremonious fashion and in front of the audience. Their pride is hurt a little bit. That's the bit I loved!"
"Paul and I are the speed demons, who were picking up the easier stuff," Mark added. "But Anne has such wide range of knowledge – religion, art and literature – we respect the hell out of how good Anne is."
The Chase airs weekday afternoons at 5pm. Beat The Chasers starts Monday, April 27 at 9pm on ITV.
