The Chase's Anne Hegerty has surprised fans of the show and host Bradley Walsh with her hair transformation.

The Governess faced a new batch of contestants in an episode that aired on September 1 where she sported a new 'do.

Shorter than her normal coiffed hairstyle, Hegerty's new hair immediately caught the eye of Walsh.

Also known for having appeared on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2018, Hegerty is one of six Chasers on the ITV quiz show. Her role is to prevent contestants from winning a cash prize.

As well as featuring in the UK version, Hegerty is also a chaser on the Australian version of the show with fellow UK chaser Mark Labbett.

Last month, Hegerty offered her take on the possibility of Walsh stepping down as The Chase's host. The English television presenter has been at the helm of the quiz show since it premiered in 2009.

The Governess reacted to an open poll on Twitter, where users were asked to name their dream hosts to replace Walsh should he ever decide to step down.

"LET'S NOT IMAGINE THIS OKAY," Hegerty simply said.
