Bradley Walsh was up to his old tricks again this week on The Chase, after he cracked up over another of the show's questions.

The Doctor Who star has a history with exploding into fits of laughter while hosting the quiz show; remember the infamous Fanny Chmelar episode?

But Bradley's latest figure of amusement took the shape of the unfortunately-named 19th century composer William Crotch.

Steely-eyed contestant Roger was faced with the question: "Nineteenth century composer William Crotch was also famous as a player of what instrument?"

As Bradley crumbled onto a piece of the studio set to calm himself down, chaser Mark Labbett (The Beast) could be seen folding his arms and shaking his head in amused disappointment.

"That is absolutely priceless," Bradley said through watery eyes, "that's funny eh, Rog?"

To which the contestant rather awkwardly replied: "Well, it's a little bit funny yes."

To make matters worse, it turned out that Crotch was famous for playing the organ, which set Bradley off again. He joked: “Old Billy Crotch plays with his organ?”

It looks like the host's casual immaturity was popular with fans on social media at least. Check out some of their reactions below.

Elsewhere, the seasoned presenter was left stunned by a contestant on the show last month, as Judith from Newmarket single-handedly destroyed chaser Jenny Ryan in the final round to pocket a whopping £70,000.

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV.
