The Chase's Bradley Walsh was left stunned when a contestant who answered *zero* questions correctly in the cashbuilder went on to beat Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan, and add a huge sum to the jackpot.

The former Doctor Who star could hardly believe it when Janty opted to take the quiz whiz's top offer of £40,000, having earned no money in the previous round.

Despite her "rubbish" performance and the fact that two of her teammates had already been beaten by the Chaser, Bradley managed to convince the Essex-based beautician to go for the highest amount as "you're only here once".

Fortunately for Janty, the set of questions that followed in the head-to-head suited her much better and she ended up adding the dosh to the otherwise empty kitty.

"Cannot believe that, that was unbelievable – boom, kapow," Bradley exclaimed, after rushing to the back of the studio in celebration and then returning to the stage.

Joking about the final question she was asked, he added: "No-one ever comes here as a beautician, does the work in their garden and has a race horse. It doesn't happen! What a match!

"That was tremendous. That will go down for me in Chase history. That was absolutely thrilling. I loved every second of that."

Sadly though, Janty didn't get to take home any of her hard-earned winnings, as her last teammate was then booted out of the competition by The Vixen, which left her facing the Final Chase alone. She gave it her all, but Jenny ultimately beat her in just 34 seconds.

"Janty, you were such a terrific player – that head-to-head was one for the ages," Jenny assured her.

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV.
